Notes
rs10166942 is a SNP on ch 2q37.1 in the TRPM8 gene. A large GWAS study of over 5,000 patients with migraines and a meta-analysis concluded that this SNP was one of three influencing the condition, albeit with only slight risk changes on its own. The odds ratio for the less common rs10166942(C) allele was 0.85 (CI: 0.82 - 0.89, p = 5.5 x 10e-12).
