Notes
Several African-American rs10250779(T;T) homozygotes (as oriented in dbSNP) have been reported to experience intense muscle pain and cramps upon exercising. It is not known what percentage of such homozgyotes respond to exercise in this manner. Distribution and effects of nonsense polymorphisms in human genes.
A;A
The symptoms reported (over 30 years ago) were myalgia and cramping upon exercising for several African-Americans carrying this genotype, and the disease is specifically reported as glycogen storage disease X. If you carry this genotype and certainly do not experience significant exercise-induced cramping, let us know and we will annotate this record.
