Notes
rs12597511, a SNP in the serine protease prostasin PRSS8 gene, has been linked to higher blood pressure (and thus risk of hypertension) in a study of healthy subjects. Both African-Americans and European-Americans with rs12597511(C;T) or rs12597511(T;T) genotypes had (slightly) higher systolic and diastolic blood pressure than (C;C) individuals.
