Notes

rs1805762, a SNP in the M6PR gene, was associated with risk for hypertension in a study involving 1,500+ Japanese patients. The odds ratio associated with the risk allele, in dbSNP orientation, rs1805762(G), which is also the most common allele, is 1.23 (CI: 1.10 - 1.37, p = 0.0003). A SNP in close linkage, rs1805740, has also been reported in association with hypertension risk in the large 2007 study reported by the Wellcome Trust Consortium.
