Notes

rs2515475 is a SNP in the angiopoietin 2 ANGPT2 gene. A study of 1,529 critically ill patients with risk factors for acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), of whom 449 did develop ARDS and 1,080 did not, found that carriers of a rs2515475(T) allele were at higher risk for ARDS (adjusted odds ratio 1.28, p = 0.042). This risk was higher (odds ratio 1.79) in patients with extrapulmonary injuries.
