Notes
In "FASTKD2 is associated with memory and hippocampal structure in older adults" researchers in GWAS study they call the largest study of human memory to date (end of 2014) found allele G of rs7594645 associated with a "modest additive" positive effect on memory performance in older adults, together with increased hippocampal volume and gray matter density and decreased cerebrospinal fluid levels of apoptotic mediators. rs7594645 resides in FASTKD2, a gene involved in programmed cell death, suggesting a likely cause of effect.
