Notes

rs10498345 is a SNP on chromosome 14 that has been associated with coronary spasm (often a precursor to various types of heart disease) in a study of Japanese women. For unknown reasons, the prevalence of coronary spasm in higher in Japanese than in Caucasians. In this study of ~800 Japanese individuals, the ~200 women with coronary spasm were found to preferentially harbor the genotype with rs10498345(T), or to put it another way, the rs10498345(A) allele appears to be protective, with an odds ratio of 0.5 (p=3.5x10e-4). No association was seen in males.
