Notes

rs131702, a SNP in the BCR gene on chromosome 22, has been associated with increased risk for bipolar disorder. The odds ratio for carriers of the minor allele (G) are reported as 1.49 (CI:1.15 - 1.93, p=0.0026) based on a study of 171 Japanese patients.

G;G

This genotype is normal for caucasians, but is reported to have 1.5x increased risk for bipolar disorder in one small study of japanese patients.
