Notes
rs3802842 is a SNP in a region of ch 11q23.1 that has been associated with some cancers. IN a study of over 10,000 cases of colorectal cancer, rs3802842(C) was associated with increased risk (odds ratio 1.17, CI: 1.12-1.22, p = 1.08 x 10e-12). Additional SNPs in chromosomal regions 8q21, 8q24, 10p14, 11q, 15q13.3 and 18q21 can be combined additively to produce an overall risk, with an average odds ratio per risk allele of 1.19.
