Notes
rs5067 is a SNP in the natriuretic peptide precursor A NPPA gene. In a study of ~500 asthma patients, rs5067(G) were at reduced (50% or 76%) risk; the odds ratio in the first and second populations were 0.5 (CI: 0.29-0.84, p=0.009) and 0.24 (CI: 0.11-0.53, p<0.0001), respectively. The population-attributable risk for asthma in carriers of the rs5067(G) allele was 23.3%.
