Notes

rs763317, also known as 8227A>G, is a SNP located in the first intron of the epidermal growth factor receptor EGFR gene. In a study of 730 Taiwanese patients with lung cancer and matched controls, never-smoking females having at least one rs763317(A) allele were at increased risk (p = 0.009) for adenocarcinomas; the adjusted odds ratio for the (A;G) genotype was 1.23, CI: 0.87-1.75, and for the (A;A) genotype, the odds ratio was 3.52, CI: 1.32-9.37.
